The 100 Workout Club: 26 Members Who Crushed Our New Year 100 Workout Challenge in Basehor

Man in a black shirt doing exercise at Cobra Command CrossFit

26 of our members at Cobra Command in Basehor just pulled off something I have to brag about.

Our New Year 100 Workout Challenge wrapped this week, and every one of them hit the goal. The challenge was simple to say and hard to do. Get 100 workouts in between January 1st and June 30th. Six months. A hundred trips through the door. That works out to roughly four workouts a week, every week, held together through travel and work and sick kids and bad weather and all the ordinary chaos of a real life. Nobody stumbles into 100 by accident. You get there one unremarkable, on-purpose day at a time.

Some of them went well past the line. Shawn Simpson finished with 236 workouts, which is more than double the goal and frankly a little ridiculous, in the best possible way. And you may have already heard about Josh Oakes, who hit his 100th workout at the buzzer on the very last day of the challenge, with a newborn at home. Different people, same habit. They just kept showing up.

Every single name on this list did the same hard, quiet thing. Not one perfect workout. A hundred ordinary ones, stacked.

Here they are, the 100 Club:

Those names are the whole point of what we do here.

We run challenges like this on purpose, and it matters even if you have never joined one. “Get in shape this year” is a wish. It is too big and too blurry to chase, so most people quietly let go of it by February. “Get 100 workouts in by June 30th” is a target. You can count it. You can see exactly where you stand. You can tell whether today’s decision moved you closer or not. That is the whole trick to consistency. You take one huge, vague goal and break it into a small, concrete milestone you can actually aim at. A number on the calendar beats good intentions every time, and stacking little milestones like this is how real consistency gets built.

And if you want proof it works, pay attention to our personal record photos and stories. The people ringing the PR bell, adding weight to the bar, and nailing a movement they could not do six months ago are almost always these same names. The wins you watch us celebrate on social media are not luck or talent. They are what 100 workouts looks like from the outside. Consistency is quiet while it is happening, and then one day it shows up as a personal record.

Look closely at that list and you will not find a room full of genetic athletes. You will find busy professionals and parents. People in their 20s and people in their 60s. People who came back from surgery and people who were nervous just walking in on day one. The one thing they all share is simple. They kept coming back.

Not one of them did it on willpower alone. Willpower runs out somewhere around February. What carried these 26 to 100 was something sturdier. A coach who knew their name and noticed when they were gone. A class that scaled every movement to exactly where their body was that day. A community that expected them and cheered when they walked in. That is what turns a good intention in January into 100 workouts by summer.

This is also why we are so stubborn about coaching over access. A gym where you swipe a card and disappear does not produce a list like this. People do not stack 100 workouts in a room where nobody would notice if they quit. They do it in a room where they are known. Accountability is not pressure. It is people in your corner making it a little bit harder to talk yourself out of it.

If your name is on this list, thank you. You did the work, and you made everyone training next to you a little more likely to keep going too. That is the quiet gift of a consistent person in a gym. You raise the floor for the whole room.

And if your name is not on the list, but reading it stirred something up, pay attention to that feeling. That is your own next chapter tapping you on the shoulder. Every person on this list started with a first workout, back when 100 felt impossibly far away. The only thing standing between you and next year’s list is a start.

Book a free No Sweat Intro at Cobra Command in Basehor. No workout, no pressure, just a conversation about your goals and the right first step for you. We will help you build the kind of consistency that turns into 100 before you even realize you are counting.

Next year, this list could have your name on it.

See you in the gym,
Jill
