First Things First: You Don’t Need to Be in Shape to Start
Let’s bust the biggest myth we hear from potential members:
“I’ll start CrossFit once I get in shape.”
Nope. Wrong. Don’t do that to yourself.
CrossFit is how you get in shape.
At Cobra Command, we meet you exactly where you are. Whether you haven’t worked out in five years, you’re a weekend warrior, or you’re recovering from an injury—we tailor the workout to fit you.
Every movement has a modification. Every workout is scalable.
No experience? No problem.
Can’t do a pull-up? Most people can’t—until they train for it.
Our experienced coaching staff ensures you’ll feel confident, supported, and safe from day one.
What Happens in a CrossFit Class?
At Cobra Command, your class experience will be broken into four simple parts:
1. Warm-Up (5–10 min):
This isn’t just jogging in circles. We focus on dynamic, functional movements to prepare your body for the workout ahead.
2. Skill/Strength Work (10–20 min):
We’ll work on a specific lift, technique, or movement pattern—think squats, deadlifts, rowing technique, or bodyweight drills. Your coach helps you work at your level, while building strength over time.
3. Workout of the Day (WOD) (8–20 min):
This is the fun part—where we sweat, challenge ourselves, and build grit. It’s a combination of movements performed for time, reps, or rounds. Everyone works at their own pace, together.
4. Cool Down & Mobility (5–10 min):
We don’t skip recovery. Expect guided stretching and mobility work to help your body bounce back stronger.
But What If I Don’t Know What a Thruster or AMRAP Is?
That’s what our coaches are for.
You’ll never be left on your own, trying to figure out what a “kipping pull-up” is or how to safely deadlift.
Your coach will explain every movement and provide alternatives when needed. They’ll demo it, help correct your form, and guide you every step of the way.
CrossFit isn’t a DIY workout. It’s fully coached, fully supported, and designed to help you progress.
What Should I Bring?
