That’s why we’ve built an experience that removes the guesswork, builds confidence, and connects you to a community that has your back from day one.
Whether you’re brand new to CrossFit or just new to us, this blog is your roadmap to everything you can expect in your first 30 days. Spoiler: it’s going to be a game-changer.
Step 1: Your No-Sweat Intro – A Simple, Pressure-Free Start
Your first step is our No-Sweat Intro—a relaxed, 15-30 minute conversation with one of our coaches. No workout clothes required. This is where we’ll ask questions, listen to your goals, talk about what’s held you back before, and help you map out the best starting point for your fitness journey.
Whether your goal is to lose weight, get stronger, move without pain, or just feel better day-to-day, we’ll help you find the right path—without pressure or sales tactics.
Step 2: Your Onboarding Path – Confidence First, Always
Once we’ve gotten to know you, you’ll begin our onboarding program, which includes three paths based on your experience:
- POP (Points of Performance) – This fast-track option is for folks with 6+ months of recent CrossFit experience. One session with a coach to review safety, movement standards, and get you cleared for group training.
- Fundamentals (Basic or Premier) – If you’re new to CrossFit or want more guidance, you’ll start with 4 (Basic) or 6 (Premier) one-on-one sessions. These coach-led sessions teach you foundational strength training, functional movement, and how to modify workouts safely so you never feel lost in class.
From Day 1, we meet you where you are and give you tools to move forward confidently.
Step 3: Your First Classes – Coaching + Community
Once you’ve completed onboarding, you’ll start attending group training sessions—and don’t worry, we ease you in.
You’ll quickly see that our classes are for everyday people of all ages and ability levels. Each class includes:
- A friendly, supportive coach who knows your name and goals
- A clear warm-up and explanation of the workout
- Scalable options for every movement and fitness level
- Coaching cues and encouragement throughout the workout
- Post-class support and connection
And right away, you’ll get a shout-out welcome post in our Members Only Facebook group. This helps you get plugged into our community and feel celebrated in your first week.
Step 4: Your First Wins – Big and Small, We Celebrate Them All
We know how important momentum is in your first month. So we focus on progress over perfection. You’ll notice:
- Increased energy and confidence
- Mastering a new skill or movement
- Hitting your first “PR” (Personal Record)
- Making friends and feeling part of the crew
And when you hit 12 classes? You’ll get a special gift from us to celebrate your consistency. Why? Because we believe showing up consistently is the foundation of transformation—and we want to cheer you on for doing it.
You’ll also receive a handwritten note from your coach during your first few weeks—highlighting your progress, celebrating your effort, and encouraging you to keep going.
These small touches might not happen at a typical gym, but Cobra Command isn’t a typical gym.
Step 5: Hybrid Memberships = Faster Results
Unlike most group fitness memberships, all Cobra Command memberships are hybrids. That means, in addition to group training, you’ll meet with a coach at least once a month for a 30-minute personal training session.
This is YOUR time to:
- Focus on a specific skill (like pull-ups, barbell lifts, or mobility)
- Get personalized feedback
- Adjust your goals
- Work on anything you feel unsure about
This is one of the reasons our members see faster results and feel more confident sooner—because they get both coaching and accountability, tailored to them.
