How Do I Improve My Flexibility?

Improving flexibility is a common goal for many fitness enthusiasts. At Cobra Command CrossFit, we understand the importance of flexibility for overall fitness and injury prevention. Here’s how you can enhance your flexibility through our programs.

Incorporate Stretching into Your Routine: Regular stretching can significantly improve flexibility and mobility. This is why you see it incorporated in dynamic stretching before workouts and static stretching after classes/sessions here at Cobra Command CrossFit.

Try Yoga: Yoga is an excellent way to enhance flexibility. At Cobra Command CrossFit, we occassionally offer pop-up yoga sessions, but also encourage our members to add Yoga to their practice to complement our CrossFit workouts, helping you increase your range of motion and reduce muscle stiffness.

Active Recovery Days: Incorporate active recovery days into your routine, focusing on light activities like walking, swimming, or mobility exercises. This helps maintain flexibility without overloading your muscles and still accomplishes the mental benefits of exercise with lower intensity!

Use Foam Rollers: Foam rolling helps release muscle tightness and improve flexibility. At least once a week in our classes we will roll, lacrosse ball and mobilize our bodies to help us achieve better recovery, improved mobility and better movement.

Consistent Practice: Like any other fitness goal, improving flexibility requires consistency. Make it a part of your regular fitness routine, and you’ll see gradual improvements.
