GLP-1s Are temporary. Strength you build at Cobra Command is not.

For two weeks I’ve been honest with you about GLP-1s. My own story, Coach Julie’s story, and the real work that has to happen in the gym for the medication to mean anything long term. I want to close the series with the question that matters most, the one that should shape every decision you make while you’re on one.

What happens when it’s over… or at least later down the road?

The med is a chapter. Your body is the whole book.

For a lot of people, a GLP-1 is a season. You use it to break a pattern your biology was stuck in, and at some point you and your doctor taper you down or off. For others, like Julie, it is long-term medicine because their body genuinely needs it, the same way a Type 1 diabetic needs insulin. Both of those are right. Both are nothing to be ashamed of.

But this is the part that decides your future, and it’s true either way. The medication is not what you keep. What you keep is the muscle you built, the strength you earned, the habits you wired in, and the community that made showing up automatic. If you spend your months on a GLP-1 only shrinking, you have nothing to stand on when it ends. If you spend them getting strong, you walk away with a body that holds.

The people who lose weight on a medication and then regain all of it are almost never the ones who trained & got their nutrition. They are the ones who treated the shot as the whole plan. The gym is your insurance policy against exactly that outcome.

This is your window, and it’s open right now

Whether you are starting a GLP-1 next week, three months in, or still deciding, the smartest move is the same. Build now, while you have the help. It is so much easier to add strength and protein and consistency while the medication is quieting the noise than it is to try to rescue muscle you already lost. The women and men who did this right did not wait until the end to get serious. They got serious at the beginning.

That is the whole reason I told you my story instead of keeping it private. I did everything right and still needed help, and I built the body I have now on top of that help, not because of it alone. Julie did the same. So can you.

Come build the part that lasts

At Cobra Command, everybody is coached and everybody is scaled to where they are today. You do not have to be fit, and you do not have to have it figured out. We will meet you exactly where you are, protect your muscle while the weight comes off, coach your nutrition so it actually holds, and surround you with people who know your name.

The first step is a No Sweat Intro. It’s not a workout and it’s not a sales pitch. It’s a conversation about where you are and where you want to go, and an honest recommendation for how to get there.

If you’re on a GLP-1, or thinking about one, this is your invitation. Book a No Sweat Intro at Cobra Command, and let’s build the parts of the plan that the medication can’t.

See you in the gym,
Jill
